Frequently asked questions

  • How long is a session?
    Between 1h30 to 2 hours.
  • What is RTT?
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is an extremely powerful and effective technique originated by Marisa Peer, voted Britain’s top therapist. RTT combines the most beneficial elements of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). But it differs from all of these treatments because we access the memory and recall of your sub-conscious mind to pinpoint the limiting belief that holds you back. This belief is something you formed a long time ago, and it has been working away below the surface guiding you to continue with behaviours that no longer serve you. Once identified, we work on letting go of the belief and replacing it with the empowering thoughts, images and beliefs you want. Please remember that you will be reviewing but not reliving scenes.
  • What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis, or “being in trance”, is a way to describe feeling relaxed and comfortable. It is a natural state of mind that we go in and out of many times every day. Think of a time when you were in a meeting and found yourself coming “back into the room” realising that your mind had drifted to thinking about something you needed to get done that day or what you were planning to do that evening. You were in a trance state. Clients are often surprised that they are not asleep, that they can hear what I’m saying and that they’re aware of everything going on around them.
  • Do I lose control under Hypnosis?
You do not lose control during hypnosis, it is just putting your nervous system in a relaxed state, which you do on a regular basis, without knowing it (such as when you are watching a movie, or walking home without paying attention). This means that even though you remain fully aware of everything going on around you, you are not bothered by them. As a result, you can turn your attention inward. I cannot get you to do anything that you would not do otherwise, and you can come out of hypnosis anytime you want.
  • What if I can’t get hypnotised?
Hypnosis is a natural state that we go into throughout the day, so you have already experienced this, probably without realising it. Everyone is different, so some people will go into trance more easily and deeper than others, however, how quickly or deeply you go into trance has no bearing on the success of the treatment.
  • Zoom or face to face?
RTT works just as well using Zoom as it does in person. All you need is a reliable internet connection. I have actually found that most of my clients prefer the session to be online as they are more relaxed in the comfort of their own home.
  • Why should I choose RTT instead of CBT or psychotherapy
RTT works with the subconscious mind, therefore the results are quicker and more effective, We also go to the root cause of the issue, and transform the limiting belief to give you the freedom you deserve. RTT can therefore transform you in no time at all.
  • How is RTT different to regular hypnosis
RTT is very different to traditional hypnotherapy, as it is interactive. Under my guidance you will be talking, exploring and uncovering your brilliant subconscious mind. We will then upgrade your limiting belief, and at the end of the session, I will give you an amazing transformation where I will incorporate some beautiful suggestions, while you can just relax and enjoy the most incredible feeling.
  • How does stage hypnotism compare to hypnotherapy?
Stage hypnotists thoroughly vet their participants beforehand – they choose extroverts who want to perform on the stage and who would not embarrass themselves or the hypnotist by not playing along. Since hypnosis cannot make someone do something they do not want to do, the participant subconsciously wants to do as the hypnotist asks and play along. Although this can demonstrate the power of hypnosis, it differs from hypnotherapy in a number of ways. Hypnotherapy aims to get to the root cause of your issue or problem, and I work with you to empower you and help you make these changes. Your best interests are always at heart, and your integrity is of the utmost importance.
